Hi, I’m Yvonne, and I feel so fortunate to call the beautiful county of Devon my home. The rolling hills, stunning coastline, and ever-changing colours of nature are a constant source of inspiration for my creativity.
With a background in fashion and textiles, I have taught dressmaking for many years. I previously ran a business designing and making wedding dresses, and later, after starting my family, I focused on creating children’s play dens and tents. My love for making runs deep, and I’m passionate about sharing the joy of creativity through teaching, crafting, and hosting sewing retreats.

Nestled in the beautiful countryside of The South Hams in Devon, The Shippon has wonderfully luxurious accommodation, far reaching views of the River Dart and is the most perfect venue for our sewing retreat. Stunning bedrooms each with an ensuite or private bathroom, a huge sitting room with a woodburner – perfect for those wintry evenings… and hot tubs on the decking!
